This sculpture is a stylization of a parachute edge. The edge of brightly colored parachute is dragged down by the shroud lines where they hook onto it. Parachutes and balloons often seem luminous as the sun shines through the thin brighly colored nylon. The neon works well as a medium for this and appears suspended in midair seemingly supporting the lines that hang below it. The work is minimalist and moves towards symbol.
